She was born on April 12, 1916. She is the author of all books about Ramona Quimby. On March 26, 2021 HarperCollins announced that she had passed away. No cause of death was given.
First Work[]
Before she became an author, she was a librarian. But, while reading a story to her students, one boy said "Where are the books about kids like us?" While she served as a librarian, she could not find many children's books about normal children. So, she gave up being a librarian and became an author. Her first book series was called Henry Huggins. It was about a normal boy who goes on various realistic adventures in the town.
