This is the third Ramona book by Beverly Cleary , which is about Ramona starting first grade and she stands up for her sister Beezus when some boys tease her. Later Ramona gets a new room but struggles to face her fear of sleeping in the dark. She also faces her fear of the big do that she sees on her way to school.
